RWBY chibi s02e16-17: When Scooby-Doo arrives to Remnant?

(Lechería, September 12th. O’kuroku).- RWBY chibi shows episode after episode that in general terms it is a great show so what else could they do? Well, how about a Scooby-Doo parody.

First of all, due to the rebranding of our magazine I had to stop the episodic reviews for this show. For that I apologize, but the good news is that I am finally back!

Now, regarding these last episodes I have to say that I was caught by surprise in a good way. En my last review I said that it is normal to see the creators of a show trying new stuff constantly. After all, that is the only way to keep a comedy show alive.

Well then, episodes 16 and 17 are proof of that constant search. Let’s start with episode 16. Making a sketch mainly focused on Neptune and Cinder was a risky move, but it ended with good results. There was good chemistry between the two, and that set a good tone for the scene.

Not to mention that the next one had Port and Winter as the main characters. However, it was even better despite the fact it had a complete different approach, and what could be better for closing the episode than having the two most loved dads of RWBY? (I know Blake’s dad is loved too) The idea of Taiyang making a video was awesome, and it is hilarious how they keep making fun of Qrow’s ability to turn into a crow.

Now, let’s talk about episode 17. It was a good idea making Penny infected Beacon’s systems with a computer virus because she had a cold. However, the brilliant and astonishing part was the Scooby-Doo parody. It was truly amazing and hilarious watching Team JNPR acting as the main characters of Scooby-Doo.

The sequences of they running endlessly through doors, and unmasking the villain at the end were perfect. Last season they had already made a parody for the Season Finale. That time, Seinfeld was the chosen show, and this time they repeated the same formula with the same gorgeous results.

I cannot wait to see what will happen in the episodes to come, and we cannot forget that RWBY Volume 5 is almost here. I do not know you, but I am counting the days. See you next time.
